What should I do if the air compressor responds abnormally?—Shared by Sollant
Many abnormal noises of the air compressor are due to the problem of the sheet metal process. The air compressor will definitely vibrate when it is running. If the sheet metal is made thinner, it will definitely affect the stability of the whole machine, so we often look at the air compressor. How about the quality, the problem can be seen from the weight alone, so let me show you how to solve the problem when the air compressor has abnormal noise.
The reason for the abnormal sound:the belt is too loose.
and the matching of the main and passive belt grooves is too large, resulting in slipping and whistling (belt drive type).
Air compressor belt slippage can be judged and determined from the following aspects:
(1) When you are close to the equipment, you can smell a burning smell of the belt. If you observe carefully, there are belt debris on the ground near the belt;
(2) There is an abnormal friction sound between the pulley and the belt;
(3) Due to the uneven load, the current swing is large. Solution: Rotate the adjusting bolt to adjust the belt to a suitable tightness, the deformation is less than 5mm, but not too tight. After readjustment, run with load, if it still slips, you need to replace the belt. The replacement of the belt is basically the same as the adjustment procedure of the belt, but it should be noted that when replacing the belt, you cannot replace only one belt, otherwise the new belt will be damaged due to the different tension of the belt. At the same time, be careful not to splash the lubricating oil onto the belt or pulleys to prevent the belt from slipping.
The reason for the abnormal sound:the screw air compressor is short of oil when it is running.
so that the male and female screws are directly engaged without lubricating oil, and the metal dry friction produces whistling sound. In the oil-injected screw air compressor, the male rotor directly drives the female rotor to rotate, but there is no direct contact between the two, and the lubricating oil sprayed into the machine head creates an oil film for isolation.
Therefore, for screw air compressors, the role of lubricating oil is very important. If the screw air compressor is “lack of oil”, it will cause direct contact with the screw rotor, abnormal noise, and cause bearing damage and other failures.
The “lack of oil” in the machine head does not necessarily mean that the total amount of lubricating oil is insufficient. It may also be caused by other reasons that cause local oil shortage and low lubricating oil pressure. Direct causes such as: oil separation failure, oil cooler, blockage of oil pipes, loose oil pipe joints and oil leakage; indirect faults may include: minimum pressure valve failure, use of unqualified air compressor lubricating oil, irregular design of oil-gas separation tank, The oil return check valve is damaged, the oil return pipe is improperly installed, the gas consumption is large, the use of overload and low pressure (or the oil treatment capacity selected before the machine leaves the factory is too tightly matched with the machine exhaust volume), etc. Solution: Check the oil level, replace the oil filter, deal with the faulty part and adjust the system configuration.
When adding lubricating oil to the main engine of the air compressor, let the oil immerse at least 3/4 of the rotor. It should be noted that in actual operation, some people only know that the operation of the equipment will cause the screw air compressor to lack oil due to untimely addition.
In fact, for those screw air compressors that have been shut down for a long time, the amount of oil inside the head is often insufficient. At this time, if you start the machine rashly, it is easy to cause an instant lack of fuel. Therefore, the screw air compressor that has been shut down for a long time must first add a sufficient amount of oil to the machine head before starting it.
The reason for the abnormal sound:the intake valve is not closed tightly.
the air leakage is large, and the intake valve checks and vibrates. The noise generated by the vibration of the check valve mainly comes from the lift check valve. Generally, a check valve is installed at the outlet of the air compressor. The purpose is to prevent the high-pressure gas from flowing back into the system when the air compressor is stopped. Solution: Replace or adjust the faulty valve. Pay attention to the following points when assembling the parts of the air valve after inspection and repair:
(1) The parts of the screw air compressor intake valve should be clean;
(2) The contact between the valve plate and the valve seat, the radial clearance between the valve plate and the lift limiter, the take-off amount of the valve plate, the specification of the spring, etc. meet the design requirements;
(3) When replacing internal parts (such as valve plates, buffer plates, springs, etc.), all must be replaced at the same time;
(4) Leakage test: Leakage test is required before the valve is installed.
Cause of abnormal sound: Motor bearing failure Solution.
(1) When the motor is running, you can use a screwdriver to touch the bearing cover, and put your ear close to the wooden handle of the screwdriver to monitor the sound of the bearing. If the rolling body has a faint rolling sound in the inner and outer rings, and the sound is monotonous and uniform, making people feel relaxed, it means that the bearing is good and the motor is running normally. If abnormal noise is heard, the cause should be analyzed and dealt with;
(2) Obvious rolling and vibration sounds of rolling elements are heard, indicating that the bearing clearance is too large or severely worn and needs to be replaced;
(3) The sound of the rolling element is hoarse and the tone is heavy, indicating that the bearing lubricating grease is too dirty and impurities have invaded, and the bearing needs to be cleaned with kerosene and replaced with new lubricating oil;
(4) There are irregular impact sounds on the rolling elements, indicating that individual rolling elements of the bearing are broken and need to be replaced;
(5) The whistle-like sound, mixed with the rolling sound of rolling elements, indicates that the bearing lacks lubricating grease or the lubricating oil is improperly selected, and it is necessary to add clean lubricating oil or replace the appropriate lubricating oil.
The reason for the abnormal sound:the host is faulty.
Foreign matter enters the main engine, causing the yin and yang screw to collide with the stuck point and produce howling sound; the gap between the yin and yang screw and the end face of the bearing is too large; the main engine bearing is damaged.
Solution: Overhaul the main engine and readjust the clearance of the main engine. According to industry research data, generally speaking, the clearance ratio of screw air compressors should be controlled between 0.8 and 1.2 wires. When the screw air compressor rotates at high speed, due to factors such as thermal deformation of the tooth profile and wear of the gear tooth surface, the gap between the running surfaces tends to decrease, and the gap between the non-tracking surfaces tends to increase. In order to ensure the long-term reliable operation of the air compressor, during maintenance, the gap between the running surface and the non-chasing surface is adjusted to be smaller, so that the ratio of the gap between the running surface and the non-chasing surface is more reasonable between 1.0 and 1.2.
Reason for abnormal sound:The sound-absorbing system is damaged.
The noise reduction system of the screw air compressor is mainly composed of chassis, bracket, frame, door panel, noise reduction cotton, sealing strip and other parts. Solution: Check whether the main body of the effect system is intact, and check whether the connecting bolts are loose.
